The great things about living in North East London
Surely, having a home near to Central London is a great thing indeed but there are many arguments to be made in favour of settling down in an area that is near the border of the metropolis. From all areas that can be described in that way, the north-eastern districts of the capital, and more precisely – the ones that are in the London Borough of Waltham Forest, might very well turn out to be the most appropriate choice for you. Let’s have a look at the reasons why.
The comforts of suburban life
London was one of the first cities in the world that actually developed areas of character that we have come to identify as suburban. Most of the finest residential districts of the capital of England were spawned after the arrival of the railway in the decades surrounding the middle of the 19th century. And since North London is traditionally better than the south in many respects, it is only logical that we share the opinion that the north east districts are the best there is. Here are some of the well known reasons why living in the suburbs is better:
- You are spared from the hassle and stress that are associated with the cosmopolitan, never-go-to-sleep Central London.
- Most of the so called dormitory districts are not only quite peaceful, but also really well developed to accommodate the needs of their residents.
- The daily commute to and from work is not a tough job, especially in North London where the Tube and railway networks are really well developed.
You will have access to all sorts of services and amenities
If you fear that you will not have what to do on a Friday night, or you will be stripped of the opportunity to quickly get basic necessities for comfortable life, well you do not need to fear those kinds of things if you choose to live in North East London. There are plenty of hospitals, shops, cafes and restaurants spread all across the territory of the borough. You will also enjoy speedy removal in services in Chingford and reliable moving help in Cann Hall if you require assistance with your relocation or need something delivered.
The nature
A considerable portion of North East London, especially those areas that are near the border, are included in the metropolitan green belt. We are talking about nicely developed public parks, former private gardens such as those of the Friday Hill House and nature reserves that have been preserved for their importance for science and the eco-balance in the area. Highams Park Field is the most important public park here. Around it the eponymous residential area of Highams Park has been developed. The park boasts a rather large lake and contains preferred spots for sports and recreation for the members of the local community. And while we are on the subject…
… the community spirit is great
North East London boasts a number of active community groups, from scout groups to amateur sports teams and society groups dedicated to the preservation and improvement of certain districts. It definitely contributes to the overall character of the area.
